Christmas Market |
Don’t miss our famous annual Xmas Market, with an all day Bistro selling home-made food, licensed bar and Santa’s Grotto! Father Christmas will be arriving at 11.30 on a horse drawn carriage. His grotto costs £2.50 and includes a visit to Father Christmas and a wrapped gift for each child.
There will be games going on whilst children and parents wait to see the special man! Later on children will be able to take a ride on Father Christmas’s horse drawn carriage!
We’ll be selling Antrobus Grown Christmas Trees, small ones in clay pots, and tiny decorated ones for putting on tables, plus wreaths.
Around 30 stalls will be selling local produce, chutney, preserves, homemade cakes, Christmas cakes, mince pies, plants, pork, bacon sausages, game Christmas hampers, olives, olive oils, pies, locally grown vegetables, plus toys and many different crafts.
They’ll be Handmade Christmas decorations and Gifts in a Jar including 'Friendship Soup', luxury hot chocolate, chop chip cookie mix, tiny coloured meringues, pickled onions, etc
Our Christmas Market is open to everyone and is free entry (other than Santa’s grotto).

It's Antrobus Panto Time Again!! |
Yes it’s nearly time for everyone to start shouting “He’s Behind You!” as Antrobus villagers prepare hard for the annual Panto – in fact rehearsals started in September, choreography is going well and a whole team of residents is dedicated (as usual!) to making the costumes from scratch!!
This year it's PUSS IN BOOTS – the French literary fairy tale about a cat who uses trickery to gain power, wealth, and the hand of a princess in marriage for his penniless and low-born master.

As you can see from the photo of last year’s Panto, you can be assured of a very professional performance.
The whole Village Hall is decorated to create a “Real Theatre” feel; there is excellent lighting and a sound system to match! There'll even be an “Ice Cream Lady” in the interval!
Villagers and friends of the village aged 8 to 70+ are taking part this year; to make this a Panto you’ll be talking about for a very long time and ensuring fun for all the family!
In the interval, wine, soft drinks, tea & coffee will be available. Plus Great Budworth Real Dairy Ice Cream Farm is supplying us with fantastic, traditional ice cream tubs, made especially for our Panto.
